A Crostini Party
SERVINGS: 17 | PREP TIME: 15 minutes | COOK TIME: 3 – 5 minutesGolden crostini meets rich yellowfin tuna with bold, flavorful toppings—perfect for any gathering!
Ingredients:
- 2 French baguettes, each sliced into ~34, ½ inch slices
- ¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2, 4.5 oz. cans Portofino Yellowfin Tuna in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions:
- Place bread slices (the crostini) on a large sheet pan and brush each side with olive oil. Put under the broiler and toast on each side. Remove from oven and place on a large serving platter.
- Choose your crostini topping(s) and cover each crostini with cheese and your preferred topping per the recipes below.
Crostini Toppings:
Lemon Dill Ingredients:
- 4 oz. mascarpone cheese
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- ½ tsp. lemon zest
- ½ tsp. chopped dill
- ¼ cup capers drained
Lemon Dill Directions:
- Mix the cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest and dill together in a small bowl. Spread ~ ½ – 1 tsp. topping on ¼ of the crostinis (~17). Top with a tsp. of tuna and a few capers
Watercress and Sundried Tomato Ingredients:
- 4 oz. mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup watercress leaves, stems trimmed
- ½ cup sliced, oil packed sundried tomatoes
Watercress and Sundried Tomato Directions:
- Spread ¼ of the crostini with mascarpone or goat cheese. (~ ½ -1 tsp. per crostini depending on the size of the crostini.)
- Top with a few pieces of watercress, sundried tomatoes and top with 1 tsp. tuna
Mascarpone and Fig Ingredients:
- 4 oz. mascarpone cheese
- 4 oz. fig spread
Mascarpone and Fig Directions:
- Spread ¼ crostini with mascarpone or goat cheese. (~ ½ -1 tsp. per crostini depending on the size of the crostini.)
- Top with ~1 tsp. fig spread and top with 1 tsp. tuna.
Mediterranean Ingredients:
- 4 oz. mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup chopped marinated artichoke hearts
- ½ cup chopped roasted red peppers
- Sliced fresh basil
Mediterranean Directions:
- Spread ¼ crostini with mascarpone or goat cheese. (~ ½ -1 tsp. per crostini depending on the size of the crostini.)
- Top with artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and ~1 tsp. tuna
Note: Goat cheese could be substituted for the mascarpone.
